PHOTOSHOOT

For our ancillary task, we have to create a digipack for the song we have chosen, as well as an advertising poster to promote the song, For this, we had to take a range of different shots of our

main singer who was going to be the image of both of these. We also made sure that our singer wore a range of different outfits to give variety in shots. Here are a few of the images that we had to take;

When first beginning to take photos, we realised that the camera was on a slight angle, so we then had to straighten up the tripod to ensure all our images were steady.

Long shot.

Medium Close up.

PROPS

Again, I am not the one who is responsible for props, however here are a couple of examples we
used. Props are very important as they make the mise-en-scene of our music video!

Here is the magazine that the stalker was admiring. In order to make this we had to use photoshop to construct something that would look professional and as realistic as possible.

Here is the lipstick we used int he first scene. We used this to give the impression that the stalker was trying her best to be like the celeb!

LOCATIONS

Although I wasnt in charge of locations, here are couple of example of some of the locations we used;

This is a beach location at South Shields, where we filmed the scene with the star and the singer of the song. We chose this as the mise-en-scene is romantic and it also looks realistic and professional.

Here is anestablishing shot we used to set the scene in our video.

INSPIRATION

In order to get an idea of what to include within our music video, I had to look at existing products to look at typical conventions of a music video. I looked at two products which had a similar narrative to our own.

Stan - Eminem

Mariah Carey - Obsessed

The major conventions I found after watching these music videos are;
- A different shot every 3 seconds.
- The artist singing being the main star.
- The lyrics of the song matching to the actions.
- Editing fitting the pace of the music.
- The mise-en-scene/costumes reflecting the mood of the song.
